APTDC has created beautiful resorts and public amenities at the Buddhist amenities to make the visitors comfortable. APTDC is in process of developing the Buddhavanam theme park in 279 acres near Nagarjuna Sagar.

Hyderabad Buddhist Circuit

Hyderabad has developed as an important Buddhist pilgrimage location after the installation of the world's largest monolithic statue of
Buddha (18m tall & 320 tons) on the rock in the Hussain Sagar Lake. The APTDC boating unit takes the tourist to the statue (contact 040 2345 5315for more details). The State Archeology Museum at Hyderabad has enshrined a Buddha relic Andhra Buddha Vihara (040 2773 2421) at Mahendra Hills, Secunderabad is the religious and cultural center of Buddhism in Hyderabad. This complex, built on the lines of Buddhist Vihara, has a temple, museum and a library.

Nagarjunakonda Buddhist Circuit

The areas around Nagarjuna Sagar Dam a reservoir formed due to the construction of the dam across the river Krishna is known as Nagarjunakonda which once served as captial city of Ikshvaku Dynasty.

Ettipotala Waterfalls is an excellent picnic spot 22km from Nagarjuna Sagar with dynamic lighting done by APTDC.

Anupu is 4km from Nagarjuna Sagar the remains of a Buddhist University. It's perfect reconstruction of a Buddhist excavation site.

Vipassana Bhavana a hall designed in Buddhist architecture cater's to the need of the uppasakas and visitors those who want to practice meditation.

Vijaywada Buddhist Circuit

Amravati -
Located 60 kms from Vijayawada,it is one of the earliest known buddisht sites. Amaravati Museum and interpretation center ,multimedia show visit to Dhyana Buddah Statue , restaurant are the activities provided by APTDC for the visitors.

Undavalli Caves - Located 8 km from Vijayawada Carved in the 4th 5th centuries  AD and located on the right bank of river Krishna ,4 kms  from Vijayawada ,Buddisht monks used these 4 storied caves as a retreat during monsoon. There is a magnificent monolith of the Lord Buddah in a reclining posture.

Guntupalli Caves - Located 85 km from Vijaya wada is said to be one of the most  beautyful Buddisht sites , situated atop a hill. The beauty is enhanced by caves  cut  into the hill side

Visakhapatnam Buddhist Circuit

Bavikonada - Located 20 kms from Vishakapatanam city is a extensive Buddisht settlement located in the hillocl called Bavikonda, which formed part of ancient Kalinga.

Thotlakonda - 16 kms from Vishakapatanam  the pilgrim can find number of Stupas ,Chaityas ,Viharas etc belonging to Theravada phase of Bhuddhism.
 
Sankaram - On a hill 40 kms south of Vishakapatanam , the ancient caves have been  cut into the rock . Some caves have images of Buddha caves on the rocky surface

Ongoing Projects

Nagarjuna Sagar - AP Tourism Development Corporation is developing Sriparvata arama a unique Buddhist Tourism destination at Nagarjuna Sagar, Andhra Pradesh. The concept plan compromises the themes of the life of the Buddha and history of Buddhism in Andhra Pradesh Life and contribution of Acharya Nagarjuna to Buddhist thought of the Ikshvaku Dynasty of 3rd and 4th centuries A.D.

Buddhavanam - APTDC has acquired 279 acres of land located on the northern bank of river Krishna, with a view to attract large number of domestic and international tourist.
The site is divide into 8 segments:
